plum and almond porridge
it's a better-for-you breakfast to supercharge you through the day
- 90g oats
- 1 cup water or plant based milk
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 ripe plums
- 2 tbsp Sweet Freedom CARAMEL SYRUP
- handful of almonds, for topping
Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan. Slice the plums and add them to the pan along with one tbsp CARAMEL SYRUP. Cook on a medium heat for a few minutes until the plums are soft.
In another saucepan add the oats, 1 tbsp CARAMEL SYRUP, and milk / water.
Cook over a medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Transfer the porridge into a bowl and top with the cooked plums, almonds, and an extra drizzle of CARAMEL SYRUP.
