ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 80g oats
  • 20g pecans, chopped⁠
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil melted⁠
  • 6 tbsp Sweet Freedom CINNAMON SYRUP
  • 100ml water⁠

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.⁠
  2. Core apples. ⁠
  3. Lightly grease an oven safe baking dish and place the apples in the dish.⁠
  4. In a bowl combine oats and pecans.⁠
  5. Add in melted coconut oil + 2 tbsp CINNAMON SYRUP, stir to combine.⁠
  6. Divide oat mixture evenly into the centre of each apple, pressing the filling in towards the center of the apples.⁠
  7. Pour water and the remaining syrup into the bottom of the baking dish and baste the apples with the water mixture. ⁠
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 30 minutes. ⁠
  9. Uncover the apples for the last 5 minutes.⁠
  10. The apples should be fork tender when cooked. ⁠
  11. Serve with your favourite ice cream, and an optional extra drizzle of syrup
