My name is Carla, I’m 31 years old and my sweet and lovely mum Denise has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of just 58. The Alzheimer’s Society had a Cupcake Day this week and my workplace were more than happy for me to organise the event at work, we raised over £650 in donations! Since mum’s diagnosis I have chosen to become vegan not only for the beautiful animals but also for health reasons and the apparent connection to animal products taking an effect on the brain. I take veganism seriously, but I think it should also come across as loving and fun to be involved in rather than something to be forced upon people. With your vegan products I was able to make fun vegan cupcakes and other bakes for people to try, I made them bright and they stood out from the crowd! By creating your products, you made it so easy for me to transform something quickly and easily that people found fun and just wanted to pick up and buy! ‘Dear Sweet Freedom, My name is Evie Toombes. I came across Sweet Freedom 'Choc Pot' a year ago and fell in love! I was born with a form of Spina Bifida which is a tumour on the spinal cord effecting the nerves to my legs, bladder, bowel and stomach. As I’ve grown my condition has become more complex which has resulted in me having to be tube fed as my stomach can’t tolerate a substantial amount of ‘normal food’ to sustain a full diet. I now rely solely on tube feeding to gain nutrition both in and out of hospital, however I am allowed small nibbles of natural ingredient foods. Choc Pot chocolate spread with a banana or occasionally on a spoon has become my all time favourite treat when I can nibble something and I just wanted to get in touch and thank you for a simple pleasure that has become such a big part of my life when I can’t eat anything else. Since finding Choc Pot spread I've also fallen in love with 'Choc Shot' that makes the most amazing hot chocolates - it's perfect for when I'm too poorly to eat but I am allowed to drink! As I’m in hospital for more weeks of the year than I am at home I even keep a special pot in my emergency hospital bag for long stays as a home comfort. If I could eat my weight in this spread I probably would! I’ve also attached a picture of myself and my horse, I’m very lucky to be able to ride when I’m well enough. I compete internationally and now have a national para show jumping title as I’m registered para due to my leg weakness. I hope this found you well. For many anorexics weight restoration is crucial, so I really can't recommend you more. Getting enough energy in my diet is very important for me but while I was gaining weight this was hard as many of the foods I needed to gain weight were bland and tasteless, however creations like yours are perfect for helping this task with a simple squeeze, spread or shot. Gaining weight often comes with lots of guilt but using your products actually felt good as I knew they were filled with nature, goodness and health. For recovering anorexics and mental health sufferers that need to learn to appreciate their bodies and to gain weight with confidence, trust and good quality food... ‘Just dropping a note to say how wonderful your products are, I get the Choc Pot (when I can find it) and the Choc Shot. I use them on lots of things (toast, hot chocolate...) but most useful is for cakes. I am vegan and keep the sugar low and this makes a great frosting. 'To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to vent my frustration concerning stock issues. Yesterday morning I realised a dreadful thing happened, I ran out of Chocolate Shot Liquid for my pancakes. First world problems I know, but being on a certain weight loss plan that rhymes with swimming swirled means it is the only chocolatey goodness I can indulge in. Now my selfish partner took the car that morning which also had the baby’s buggy in, leaving me stranded inside my Chocolate-less abyss. I contemplated walking all the way to my local supermarket to pick some Choc Shot up, but after carrying my baby for a few minutes I realised he possibly weighs more than a small dinosaur. Hello dead arms - and sick all over me, which I failed to notice until a nice young lad told me I had a sick back (I thought he was using the cool kind of slang which meant my back was a nice looking one). I knew I could not possibly make it to the supermarket so I stopped at our local smaller version of said supermarket. After attempting to hunt down the Sweet Freedom treat like some kind of rabbid animal I interrogated a member of staff who informed me it was not stocked in the smaller stores. I could not hide my frustration in and my chocolate deprivation caused a bout of clumsiness as I knocked a bottle of wine off a shelf which caused it to smash of course, wine vs floor of course floor would win. I blamed the baby obviously but paid for the wine as I felt terrible. What was even more terrible was paying for wine knowing you cannot have it. Tragic. So, I left my local, £8 down, chocolate shot less and a back covered in sick. Now I cannot hold you accountable for the sicky back part but I am certain if Choc Shot was stocked at smaller local stores I would not have been so frustrated and thus the wine would have lived another day, leaving me still with £8 in pocket, well £4.50 if I had brought the chocolatey bottle of dreams. So, I beg of you please stock Choc Shot locally so when aforementioned selfish partner steals the car I know at least I can pick up a bottle at ease. Thank you kindly'. Maxie C
